From the sensor to your screen, and back again
Every Sentinel device reports into Fusion Cloud over the best connection the site has. You see everything there, set the alarms there, and switch equipment from the same place. It works where there is no phone coverage, because the devices bring their own network.

Five steps
Sense
Sentinel devices and wired or wireless sensors sit on the pump, pivot, tank, machine, vehicle, vessel or person.
Mesh
Devices talk over long-range LoRa radio and hop data node to node, so one gateway can cover a big property and range grows as you add units.
Connect
A Sentinel gateway sends the data out, switching automatically between LoRa, on-site Wi-Fi, Starlink and 4G. Where there is nothing else, it connects direct to LEO satellite.
Alarm
Fusion Cloud holds every alarm. Thresholds are set per machine and changed remotely, and a device that stops reporting raises an alarm too.
Control
The same device that reports can switch pumps, valves and gates, from the dashboard, phone app or API.
Why it is built this way
Alarms live in the cloud
Devices just report. Fusion Cloud decides what is normal and what is an alarm, so you never climb a tower or drive to a paddock to change a setting, every machine can have its own thresholds, and silence counts as a fault.
A battery in every unit
Power at remote sites drops out. A battery in every Sentinel keeps it reporting through the outage and makes sure it can say the power has gone, instead of just going quiet.
Monitoring and control
The output that switches a pump, valve or gate is on the same device that reports on it.
Getting data out of anywhere
LoRa mesh
Long-range, low-power radio between devices on the property.
On-site Wi-Fi
Where the site already has a network.
Starlink
A high-power Sentinel gateway can power and monitor the dish.
4G
Where there is mobile coverage.
Direct to LEO satellite
For sites with nothing else.
Who sees what
User
Sees their own devices and their own work.
Company
Sees the company’s devices and work, shared across the team.
Partner
Can see and assist their customers, but each customer’s data stays private to that organisation unless the customer shares it.
Common questions
How far does LoRa reach?
It depends on terrain and antennas. Because devices mesh, coverage extends as you add units, so ask us about your site.
Do I need Starlink?
No. Starlink is one option. Gateways also use 4G, on-site Wi-Fi or direct satellite.
Can I see it on my phone?
Yes, through the Fusion Cloud phone app, as well as the dashboard and the API.
Talk to us about your site
Tell us what you need to watch and where it is, and we will map out how Sentinel covers it.
What to confirm for your site
These capabilities are being productised and piloted. A site assessment confirms the supported setup before deployment.
Radio coverage
Terrain, obstructions, antennas and gateway placement affect LoRa coverage. No universal distance is specified here; agree a coverage test for your site.
Satellite and mobile service
LoRa carries local device data. A gateway needs a supported onward connection for remote cloud access. Confirm satellite service, network availability and the supported gateway configuration.
Power and reporting
Battery duration and alarm delivery depend on the device, reporting interval, power system and connection. Confirm the required runtime and reporting behaviour in the pilot scope.
Compatibility and pricing
Confirm sensors, switching outputs, equipment interfaces, installation and service costs with us. This website does not publish a universal compatibility list or Sentinel price list.
